In what could pass for different strokes for different fellows, Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko, has taken a swipe at die-hard fans of BBNaija Season 9 which kicked off Sunday 28th July, with housemates competing in pairs for the first time.
Etiko is shocked that the fans who are lamenting over economic hardship including some who are planning to be part of the proposed August 1st 2024 protest, still have enough data to follow the television reality show bumper to bumper.

Etiko who has featured in over five dozen films including Airline Babes, Native fowls, Three days to Wed and City Girl among others is not only pained by what she perceived as misplacement of priority by die-hard lovers of the reality show, but also by insecurity in the country and escalating of crime waves.
In a post on her Instagram page on Monday, Destiny Etiko expressed displeasure that Nigerians are happy with the TV show when many people are struggling to survive.

“I am majorly concerned about the poor masses, though. That you can survive does not mean that everyone can.
“Crime is now happening everywhere, insecurity has become the order of the day and everyone is literally calm. THE EARLIER, THE BETTER.”
Etiko’s disappointment and lamentation is coming just few weeks after a colleague in the field, Caroline Danjuma, raised the alarm over the prevailing hardship. In her own case she even experienced firsthand the pain of the people as she visited Sunday Market in Ogba where she noted that prices of foodstuff hit the roof with no end in sight.
