According to insiders, little  Ifeanyi was said to have been underwater for a very long time
before someone spotted him.

He was immediately pulled out and rushed to the Lagoon Hospital Ikoyi, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

Details of the circumstances leading to little Ifeanyi being left alone in the pool before he was drowned was still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

The tragic incident occurred few days after Ifeanyi’s birthday (October 20).

The parents, Chioma and Davido had, on October 20, celebrated Ifeanyi’s birthday in grand style.

There have been efforts by Davido to teach the little child some swimming lessons.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Davido and little Ifeanyi were seen inside the pool in his Banana Island mansion in what appeared a swimming lesson for the vibrant little child. An impressed Davido was heard saying: ”This one go learn quick.”

Recall that another musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, also known as D’banj, and his wife, Lineo Didi, lost their first child in the same manner in 2018.

  1. He has already done the mistake of taking him to the pool for teaching him how to swim because the boy on his own will try to teach himself and the end result of it is now the sudden of my child… I pray that his soul be granted eternal rest in heaven in Jesus Christ mighty name… Amennnn
