Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of its diesel to ₦1,020 per litre from ₦1,075 at the gantry. This is ₦55 drop in the ex-depot price of diesel.
In a statement released Tuesday, the company said the price reduction is part of efforts to better serve its customers and Nigerians in general.
The 650,000 barrels per day refinery began diesel production in January 2024. Since then, it has reduced the price of diesel more than three times, from an initial ₦1,700 per litre to the current rate, providing much-needed relief to manufacturers and consumers alike.
The latest reduction of N55 per litre for diesel comes after the slash in price of Premium Motor Spirit supplied from the refinery following the drop in prices of crude oil in the international market.
The commencement of diesel production and distribution by the Dangote Refinery led to a significant reduction in the price of the product in Nigeria.
