Cook-a-thon: Hilda Baci Receives Guinness World Record Plaque

Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has been given her Guinness World Record plaque for the feat she achieved cooking for 93 hours and 11 minutes, the longest hour.

Hilda confirmed receipt of the plaque on Monday in a video she shared with the caption, “Our plaque is here @guinnessworldrecords.”

She was officially declared the Guinness World Record holder last week for the longest cooking marathon after a month of achieving the feat.

Having cooked 100 pots of different foods in 93 hours and 11 minutes in the contest, she dislodged the Indian, Lata Rondon, who held the record between 2019 and 2023 having cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.

Following GWR’s announcement of Hilda last week, the organisers declared their tweet as the best-performing tweet.

GWR said, “Yeah, so this is our best-performing tweet of all time with nearly 25 million news feeds reached.”

The tweet, has, however, garnered over 30.9 million views.
