UCL: Chelsea Thrash Juventus, Lewandowski, Ronaldo Save Bayern, Man United In Crucial Wins

Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Calum Hudson Odoi and Timo Werner were all on the scoresheet as Chelsea obliterated Juventus 4-0 in the shocking result of Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League.

Juventus had already qualified for the knockout stages but needed to win to top the group. They did have a good first half but went to sleep in tke second stanza.
Robert Lewandowski was unsurprisingly the star of the show in the freezing rain in Kyiv Tuesday night as Bayern Munich defeated Dynamo Kyiv 2-1 in the Group E’s match day 5 of the competition.

Benfica on paper are expected to defeat Dynamo Kyiv.In Group F, late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho were enough to earn an underwhelming Manchester United a 2-0 victory at Villarreal and guarantee them a spot in the Champions League knockout stages.In the other Group F game, Atalanta and Young Boys ended their contest in an enthralling 3-3 draw.

The Italians had been 2-1 up with 10 minutes left on the clock and looking to move into second place before the Swiss came up with two goals in a four-minute spell to go ahead.

But former Udinese star Luis Muriel’s 88th-minute strike kept Atalanta in the race for a top two finish and a knockout stage berth — effectively needing to beat Villarreal in their last group game on December 8.

In Group G, Sevilla picked up an impressive win and kept alive their chance of advancing in the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Wolfsburg.

Joan Jordan grabbed an early goal  in the first half and Rafa Mir who was in Spain duty at the Olympics scored late in the second to give the Spanish club its first win in five matches.

Salzburg lost 1-0 at Lille in the other group match with Nigerian – born German international Karim Adeyemi booked (yellow card) for dissent in the game.

Wolfsburg stay on five points and is still in contention ahead of the final round, when they host Lille while Sevilla visit Salzburg.
