Super Eagles Team B otherwise dubbed CHAN Eagles are set for a crucial show down against Black Galaxies of Ghana on Saturday.

The Eagles resisted the temptation to relax in the spirit of the yuletide Tuesday and rather took to the pitch in a holistic practice ahead of the encounter. Aside from working on crosses and finishing, Primebusiness.africa understands that the Eagles also practiced set pieces all aimed at ensuring the Saturday’s encounter ends in victory.

The 2024 edition will be the 8th edition, having first been held in 2009 in Cote d Ivoire. Morocco and DR Congo have won the title twice each; other past winners include Tunisia, Libya and Senegal. Nigeria has qualified for the championship three times 2014, 2016 and 2018 with the best outing being a second place finish in 2018 in Morocco. That occasion was nightmarish as the Moroccans sent their Nigeria counterparts to the cleaners no thanks to a 4-0 thrashing.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles Coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has successfully undergone surgery in Belgium. Eguavoen’s surgical procedure had been left in the cooler multiple times, due to the hectic schedule associated with the Super Eagles’ campaign for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
