Be sure to seek career advice from mentors in your industry or the industry you would like to switch to. They could point you in the right direction and also give you a recommendation that can help with your career change.

  • Consider potential opportunities in your current industry

Before switching to a new industry, you must consider opportunities in your current industry. especially if you have performed very well, and become experienced in your industry. There could be room for growth or a promotion just around the corner. Make sure you consider all options before making that switch.

  • Research potential new career fields

You must carry out your due diligence on the potential new career field you would like to move to. Carry out thorough research on that field and know everything there is to know. You can learn about new fields through internet searches or speaking to people already working in those fields. Aim to get as much information as possible before you quit your current job or commit more time to exploration.
