Aside from serving as a good omen for Eguma, the victory also marked a memorable and victorious debut for former Super Eagles star, Brown Ideye, who recently followed the footsteps of Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa, to join the local league after playing for other clubs abroad.

Ideye accounted for Enyimba’s third goal. Joseph Atule who has been sidelined by injury equally marked his return with a brace.

Prior to the match played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Enyimba led the group from the match with just a point in four matches played but the victory has taken the Peoples Elephant to four points, bringing them at par with Black Bulls even as they dream another over Egyptian side, Al Masry, on Sunday.
