The All Progressives Congress candidate garnered an impressive total of 8,794,726 votes, securing a decisive win over his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. Abubakar received a commendable 6,984,520 votes.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi of the Labour Party claimed the third position with a respectable total of 6,101,533 votes. Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP secured fourth place with 1,496,687 votes.
