Kingsley Oritsetimeyin, aka Kellyrae, officially received the coveted prize on Monday, following his emergency as BBNaija Season 9 winner on Sunday. Kellyrae floored the remaining seven contenders with Wanni Danbaki emerging runner up.

Show organisers fulfilled their promise of offering a car to the eventual winner and presented Kellyrae with a brand-new sports utility vehicle (SUV) on Monday.

The finale was a star-studded affair, featuring performances from popular artistes like Joseph Akinfewa-Donus, aka Joeboy, and Chimamanda Chukwuma, popularly referred to as Qing Madi.

One memorable highlight of the event hosted by Nigerian media personality, Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, was a play back of activities of the final eight housemates in the course of their 71 days sojourn in the Big Brother House, bringing back nostalgic feelings.

Ironically, while Kellyrae and wife Kassia are happy that the coveted prize is eventually in the family, Kassia Sule’s family are not happy that the couple’s management chose to throw their weight behind their son-in -law as against their daughter.

Kassia, who was waxing strong while running solo before her eventual eviction, revealed the feeling of her family.

The couple had entered the Biggie house under one management known as DoubleKay, but following the dumping of pairing system by Biggie in the course of the show, both had to go solo like other housemates.

As a result of the solo ride, DoubleKay Management decided to back Kellyrae to progress on the show ahead of Kassia. It did not stop there.

The management also announced the decision to DoubleKay fans after Kellyrae said he prefers to win the N100 million grand prize for the show ahead of his wife, Kassia.

Consequently, fans concentrated on voting more for Kellyrae, which led to the eviction of Kassia from the show on Sunday, while her husband progressed to the final.

In a post-eviction interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Kassia said the management’s decision was the best but noted that her family isn’t happy about favouring her husband over her.

Fans of the family however see no issue here, insisting that what is important is that the car and the largesse that comes with it has come home, after all the voting by fans revealed that Wanni came that close to winning, which would have left both husband and wife in the cold if she had emerged as the winner.

Did I hear say please count your blessings and name them one by one? Did I hear you say that when they are married they are no longer two but one?  What else did I hear you say? That it is better to say we went, we saw, we conquered than to say we missed it by whiskers.
