Serie A side AS Roma on Tuesday morning announced that they have parted ways with manager Jose Mourinho.
Roma are currently lied ninth in the league log after Sunday’s 3-1 loss to AC Milan.

Mourinho has also had to deal with the ire of referees as he had been handed several touch line bans for his antics during his club’s games.
“AS Roma can confirm that Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff will leave the club with immediate effect,” the club said in a statement.
“Further updates on the new First Team coaching staff will follow imminently.”
Mourinho, former coach at top European clubs including Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United, was appointed coach of Roma in 2021.
Mourinho led the Roma side to winning the UEFA Conference League in 2022 and reached the final in 2023.
Former Roma midifelder Danielle de Rossi will replace Mourinho until end of the season with the option to extend his contract.
