The month of May 2022 is an important one as the race for elective offices in the 2023 general elections gathers pace with the primaries for the two major political parties, All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party set to hold between May 7 and 31 reports Prime Business Africa.
Firstly, both parties will hold their primaries for the House of Assembly on Saturday May 7 (PDP) and Tuesday May 17 (APC).
The House of Representatives will be next with the PDP going to the polls on May 12 and the APC doing theirs a week later.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelNext will be the primaries for the Senatorial seats as May 14th is slated for the PDP primaries and the APC’s coming up on May 21, same day the PDP will be holding their primaries for the Governorship elections. The APC’s version of the Governorship primaries will come up 72 hours later.
Finally, the Presidential primaries will round off a busy month with the PDP holding a double dose of events on May 28 and 29 while the APC takes their turn on May 31.
