Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Dr Allen Onyema, has said airline operators in Nigeria are seeking the removal of numerous charges at the airports to improve a business-friendly environment in the aviation sector.
Onyema, who spoke to newsmen after meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima in the State House Abuja on Tuesday, hailed the Nigerian government for its support to the aviation sector.

“This is not peculiar to Nigeria but the Nigerian government is listening to us and making sure the ease of doing business in the sector is back,” he stated.
He acknowledged ongoing efforts by the federal government to promote ease of doing business in the aviation sector.

“I can testify that the government is actually promoting the ease of doing business, especially in aviation.
He expressed delight in the work of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, saying he is doing “a wonderful job” in the sector.
Onyema said their visit to the State House was also to thank the government for giving them listening to them.
“We want more of that to make sure all those numerous charges we face are removed, and we have every confidence that the government will do something about it,” he added.
