Legendary Afrobeat singer, songwriter and music producer, Innocent Idibia, Tuface or 2Baba, who clocks 50 come September this year, has been at the centre of a love triangle involving his ex-wife, Annie Macaulay and Edo lawmaker, Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.
Live Goes On:
The hydra-headed love triangle, which has trended for over three months running and still trending, took a new dimension when estranged wife, Annie, recently dumped the name Idibia from her name and returned in peace to her original name Annie Uwana Macaulay.
The 40-year-old graduate of Computer Science and Theatre Arts of Lagos State University and University of Lagos respectively, did not only dump the name after a painful divorce experience but also cleared her Instagram of every old post that could serve as a reminder of the painful past and moved on.
The Nollywood actress thanked fans, well-wishers and family members who stood by her while the ordeal lasted, and indeed many of them were happy to see her overcome reported mental challenge and rehabilitation as direct fallout from the divorce saga.
Interestingly, while Annie was dumping the name ‘Idibia’ from her profile, Natasha Osawaru, the Edo lawmaker, who has captured the heart of Lord Elly (I suppose you never knew that 2Baba’s name is also Lord Elly), did not hesitate to pick up and attach the name to her name and profile on Instagram, thus transforming but spiritually, physically and emotionally to Natasha Osawaru Idibia.
Some will say it was done in a jiffy and that there is no notice of change of name. But that worry of course is only left for those who know little or nothing about matters of the heart. When love is involved, most terms and condition seize to apply, because love is said to conquer all.
Besides when the man at the centre of the triangular love tango makes his intension known, every other thing is forced to fall in place.
When 2Baba predicted after throwing his 12-year-old marriage overboard declaring his love for Natasha and his desire to marry her and then followed it by saying that “Everybody is going to be alright and everyone is fine” it became apparent that a point of no return has been reached.
What You Can’t Change You Learn To Live With:
The Interesting aspect of this debacle is the fact that the two women involved have never bothered to confront each other, a rare show of maturity and perhaps a belief in the saying that “what you cannot change, you learn to live with”
It also shows the impact of enlightenment and education. Rather than go into a brawl like some of their uneducated and unenlightened counterparts who we see tearing themselves and fighting naked on social media, they chose to forge ahead as the soap opera continues to unfold.
Celebrity status comes with a lot of fame, money and goodwill, but it also comes with its challenges. One of those challenges is loss of privacy. The celebrity no longer lives his life for himself but for the public, fans and haters alike who nose around every minute wanting to know what the celebrity is doing or not doing.
Now that Natasha is celebrating her new found love and Annie counting her loses, as if walking down the memory lane, like the evergreen tunes mentioned earlier, die-hard followers of the dramatis personae are asking, nosing and wondering what next.
Nosing Around For Wedding Date:
Some apparently, still relishing with nostalgia the #CHIVIDO2024 featuring Chioma and Davido in the loud in Lagos Chioma and Davido Wedding that shut down the city, are already insinuating that, same may be in the pipeline as it concerns Natasha and 2Baba.
Some can hardly wait, especially after a viral video where the afrobeat star declared his intension to marry the lawmaker, cleared her of any blame in the crash of his marriage, proposed and had the proposal accepted despite protest from his mother Madam Rose Idibia and some family members.
As if that is not enough reason to look forward to the wedding recent shopping spree involving the two love birds all points to bigger show according to nosy fans.

As a matter of fact, a recent viral video of the lovebirds at Seyi Vodi’s Atelier, in Abuja where they went shopping, Natasha was said to have enquired about a wedding outfit. This points to a big day on the way.

He has not only been visiting his heartthrob a number of times at the Edo House of Assembly where new madam works, he has also shown moral support in her political outings, as the ‘African Queen’ crooner has been spotted attending the Edo Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja with his new politician lover.
Because the multiple award-winning music star, has become a member of the family so to say, he was invited to attend the tribunal sitting to deliver a verdict on the petition filed by the PDP and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo, seeking to annul the election of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress.
This development comes after Natasha Osawaru added Idibia to her name across all her social media platforms, thus solidifying her status as the new woman in the life of 2face.
She made the move on her Instagram profile on March 29, only days after the singer’s estranged wife, Annie, changed her last name back to Macaulay in an Instagram post.
The excitement among fans who saw the couple at the Edo House of Assembly, and those eager to stop them to exchange pleasantries and take selfies appears to show level of acceptance amid social media protest especially among Annie Macaulay sympathisers.
What some fans and netizens are waiting to hear is announcement of a wedding date. Not everything seen on social media is to be taken seriously. A certain submission talked about 2Baba being broke.
Money Not The Issue:
That looks like a story for the birds, fake news! Tuface? Who only recently gifted his 19-year-old son Nino, a multimillion naira car for his birthday?
The way things stand, Tuface-Annie Idibia project has been replaced with Tuface-Natasha Idibia project. As for Wedding, 2Baba is equal to the task and even the lawmaker cannot be said to be without wealth as her mother, Madam Philomena, is the daughter of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of the Benin Kingdom in Edo State.
Tuface and Annie’s wedding was loud in Dubai with many celebrities from across the globe and trust me if and when the second wedding bell rings, it will be loud but exactly where? Just keep your fingers crossed.
