Eagles who drew with South Africa and lost 2-1 to Benin Republic in the world cup qualifiers in June will be hoping to get back to winning ways banking on home support at the Nest of Champions on Saturday.
It may however not be a tea party as Gernot Rohr who boasts of impressive knowledge of Nigerian players will be hoping to re-enact the feat he achieved three months ago at the Stade Félix-Houphouët-Boigny where Benin had chosen as home ground.
On that occasion Jodel Dossou’s 37th minute goal and Steve Mounie’three minutes added time of the first half was enough to clip Eagles wings. Raphael Onyedika had earlier shot Eagles into the lead but the team lost team as Cheetah fought back to victory.
