Nigeria Football Federation boss Amaju Pinnick has a growing fondness of speaking with the players in their dressing room at half time of matches when team tactics and errors spotted in the first half ought to be addressed.
Ahead of the 21st meeting with Tunisia at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garaou, Eguavoen who led the Dr team to win bronze in the tournament in 2006 said that would stop henceforth.
“We talked about timing and I am still talking about it. It’s our culture – motivation is good,” Eguavoen, affectionately called ‘Cerezo’ by his fans told the media in the pre match media briefing.
“Guests can have short discussions with the team at the restaurant and not inside the dressing room.
“Against Egypt was the only time when the NFF president and the Air Peace president came to see the team and it was five minutes.
“In the second and third games, no one came to see the team. I don’t think this will happen today,” the onetime Bemdel Insurance right back stated.
