Abia Gov Otti Pays Condolence Visit To  Wigwe Family [Photos]

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, on Friday, in Lagos, paid a condolence visit to the family of Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe, parents of Dr Herbert Wigwe, late Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings.

Dr Wigwe died alongside his wife, Chizoba, son, and former Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo in a helicopter crash in the United States of America on 9 February 2024.

Governor Otti had earlier penned an emotive tribute in memory of the former Access Holdings boss, who was his close friend and professional colleague.

In the piece titled, “Saying Goodbye”, Otti hailed the uncommon virtues of Wigwe which stood him out in all his endeavours and also propelled him on the ladder of success. Otti also revealed how Wigwe was very supportive of his governorship ambition.

Otti in a statement via his official X handle, said he visited the Wigwe family to offer his heartfelt condolences and prayers.

“While I still cannot find the right words, it is my sincere prayer that God will comfort the family during these trying moments and grant them the fortitude to carry on,” Governor Otti stated.
