The Nigerian Police Force have disclosed plans to carry out a comprehensive investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the young Nigerian music star, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Mohbad, 27, tragically passed away on Tuesday, throwing his fans and the entire music world into mourning. His foray into the music industry came to the limelight when he signed a contract with Naira Marley‘s “Marlian Records.” After a while, he, however, terminated the contract.

His sudden demise has sparked reactions with many questioning the cause of his death.
Reacting to that, the Nigeria Police in a statement by its spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that it has charged the Lagos State Command to carry out a diligent investigation into the cause of Mohbad’s death.
The security agency urged members of the deceased family, friends, or associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in the investigation process.

The Force PRO also urged members of the public to desist from making statements or engaging in activities that could sabotage the investigation process.
The statement reads: “We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who tragically passed away recently. We understand the concerns surrounding his untimely demise and the various speculations that have arisen.

“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.
“We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.
“In the meantime, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation. Your trust and support are deeply valued.”
