Nigerian Stock Exchange crashed on Tuesday by 0.16 per cent or N58.47 billion, after the bourse’s capitalisation depreciated to N35.35 trillion, from Monday’s N35.41 trillion.
The All-Share Index fell from 65,036.37 ASI to 64,928.98 ASI, losing 107.39 basis points.

Top five gainers
- Tantalizer’s share appreciated by 10 per cent to rise from N0.40 kobo to N0.44 kobo per share.
- Ikeja Hotel grew by N0.28 kobo, up from N2.85 kobo to N3.13 kobo per share.
- Cornerstone ended trading with N1.41 kobo from N1.29 kobo per share, rising by N0.12 kobo.
- TIP gained 8.82 per cent to end trading at N1.11 kobo, having opened with N1.02 per share.
- Linkage Assurance’s stock was up by 8.33 per cent, closing at N0.91 kobo from N0.84 kobo per share.
Top five losers
- Eterna depreciated by N1.75 kobo, dwindling from N17.75 kobo to N16 per share.
- Sunu Assurances declined by N0.10 kobo to end trading at N0.94 kobo, after opening at N1.04 per share.
- Omatek followed the same path, losing 8.11 per cent after trading hours, to sell at N0.34 kobo from N0.37 kobo per share.
- Unilever reported a decline of N1.10 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N15.60 kobo to end trading at N14.50 per share.
- AIICO’s share depreciated to N0.67 kobo from N0.71 kobo, after losing 5.63 per cent during trading hours.

- Transcorp reported 36.46 million shares, valued at N147.50 million, were traded on its floor.
- UBA recorded 23.24 million shares valued at N325.41 million.
- Access Corporation saw investors trade 17.66 million shares valued at N299.36 million.
- Sterling Financial Holdings recorded 15.97 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N57.49 million.
- Japaul Gold reported 11.39 million shares, valued at N11.01 million, exchanged investors’ hands.
