The girls under the tutelage of coach Shittu Adewunmi Agboola, were determined to take the bull by the horn after their struggled win over Guinea on day 1 of the competition and they set out quite early to make the contest a mismatch, leading in the first half by a massive 23-8.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelThe second half continued just as same as captain Esther Matthew led her teammates with a higher intensity as they ruthlessly destroyed their opponent by a 31-8 score to earn a satisfactory 54-17 victory.
Nigeria’s Taiwo Babatunde was voted the MVP of the match.
The next match for Nigeria will be against Rwanda on Thursday at 1pm Nigeria time.
