Emeka Rollas, the National President of AGN, shared the exciting news during a press conference held in Lagos. He emphasized the significance of the festival in providing Nollywood actors with exposure to casting directors and producers worldwide, opening doors for potential cross-cultural projects and collaborations.

This, in turn, would not only benefit the Nigerian film industry but also contribute to the nation’s economic growth and elevate Nigeria’s presence on the global stage.

The festival, scheduled to take place from November 9 to November 11, will feature a series of events, including red carpet galas, film screenings, panel discussions, city tours, workshops, and seminars.

Participants will have the opportunity to network, learn from each other, and engage with fans and supporters in the diaspora.

Dr. Alex Okoroji, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the festival, expressed the guild’s excitement to host the event in Miami, a vibrant cultural hub with a significant Nigerian and African immigrant population.

Themed “The Future of Nollywood Actors in the Global Economy,” the festival aims to celebrate the brightest stars of Nigerian film and television. Renowned actors Nancy Isime and Joseph Benjamin will serve as the official hosts, adding to the star-studded lineup that already includes over 70 Nollywood stars.

The event remains open for interested actors to participate, showcasing Nigerian talents to a diverse global audience and fostering cultural understanding.

Apart from the glitz and glamour, the festival promises to be an excellent platform for creative professionals to connect and exchange knowledge.

Telemundo Studio in Miami will be toured, while participants will also explore the picturesque beaches of Miami during a boat cruise. Masterclasses on filmmaking will offer invaluable insights to aspiring filmmakers, further enhancing their skills.

Segun Arinze, former National President of AGN, commended the guild’s efforts in organizing this groundbreaking festival. He expressed his belief that such an event would encourage actors, some of whom have sought opportunities abroad due to challenges in their home country.

The AGN’s collaboration with the African Travel Film Festival underscores the importance of fostering cultural ties between Nigeria and the United States while showcasing the country’s rich arts and culture.

Moreover, the festival offers a golden opportunity for Nigerian brands to partner with AGN and reap the benefits of exposure on the global stage.
