Izuchukwu OkosiThe Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has provisionally suspended Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan after she was allegedly accused of missing three drug tests.
Regulatory body AIU made the statement via a post on Twitter Wednesday evening.

“The AIU confirms that it has today (Wednesday) charged and provisionally suspended Tobi Amusan (NGR) for 3 Whereabouts Failures.
“The Charge will be heard by the Disciplinary Tribunal and determined before the World Athletics Championships.”
During the period of her provisional suspension, Amusan is expected not to take part in any competition thereby risking her participation at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest next month (August) and possibly the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
This is contained in the rule book of the AIU as an athlete cannot participate in any competition or activity in Athletics while awaiting a final decision at a hearing conducted under the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules or the Integrity Code of Conduct.
Amusan, who is World, Africa and Commonwealth Games champion in the hurdles is yet to respond to the latest decision by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
