Nigeria Cinemas Exhibitors Association (CEAN) has reported a significant boost in revenue for the month of April, announcing a total of N566 million generated from ticket sales across the country.
The National Chairman of CEAN, Opeyemi Ajayi, shared this positive development in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) based in Lagos.

Ajayi also highlighted a rise in cinema attendance, with 220,781 viewers visiting the theaters in April, compared to 174,071 viewers in March.
CEAN’s National Chairman expressed satisfaction with the growth in sales during April and the positive trend it signifies. The revenue generated in April amounted to an impressive N566,755,146, and the number of cinema-goers further demonstrates the increasing popularity of cinema experiences nationwide.

The diverse selection of movies screened in April contributed to the surge in revenue. Movie enthusiasts had the opportunity to enjoy a range of films such as “Domitilla,” “John Wick,” “Super Mario Boss,” “Honey Money,” and “The Bloom Boy.”
The variety in genres and captivating storylines catered to different tastes and ensured an engaging cinematic experience for viewers.
Looking ahead to May, CEAN anticipates continued excitement among cinema lovers. There is a lineup of highly anticipated films to watch out for, including “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “The Bride Price,” “Love Again,” “Fast X,” and “Little Mermaid.”
