4. APC Dissolves Presidential Campaign Council, As Obi, Atiku Tribunal Challenge Ongoing
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) set up prior to the 2023 general elections.
This was contained in a statement released on Saturday jointly signed by the Director-General of the APC PCC, Governor Simon Lalong, and the Secretary of the council, James Faleke.
The statement said that the chairman of the APC-PCC, President Muhammadu Buhari; the president-elect, Bola Tinubu and other leaders,bog the party thanked all members of the council, leaders and supporters for working hard to achieve victory of the party.
5. Thunderstorm Causes Collapse Of Another 3-storey Building Collapse in Lagos,
A three storey-building under construction on Sunday collapsed in the Apapa area of Lagos State.
The building located at 45, Ladipo Oluwo Street, GRA Apapa, was said to have partially caved in as a result of thunderstorm.
6. Nnamani Asks Obi To Withdraw Petition Against Tinubu
Former governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani, has called on the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Mr Peter Obi, to withdraw his petition currently at the tribunal against the declaration of APC’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-elect.
7. Don’t Allow Politics To Divide Us Obi Tells Muslim Faithful
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 elections, Peter Obi, has advised Muslims not to allow politics to divide Nigeria irrespective of tribe and religion because as he puts it Nigeria is one.
Obi made call on Sunday when he visited the Muslim faithful at Central Mosque, Onitsha, Anambra State.
He said one of the challenges to Nigeria’s Unity was the deliberate use of religious differences to sow seed of discord by politicians looking for power.
He said he visited Muslims in the city to felicitate them on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

10. 2.9 million lightning strikes to hit Nigeria in May – NEMA
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has predicted that Nigeria would experience about 2.9 million lightning strikes in the month of May.
The agency, while warning Nigerians to be prepared for it, stressed the need for them to adopt safety measures when it occurs such as staying indoors during thunderstorms.
According to NEMA, there would be would experience more intense lighting strikes in South-South, South-East, North-Central, and North-East states.
