Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and other members of the presidential campaign team went to Plateau State in North Central Nigeria today, Friday, January 20, for a rally to seek support as the election approaches.
Obi and his team including the Vice Presidential candidate, Datti, the party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babchir Lawal, among others, visited the Gbong Gwom Jos, HRM Da Jacob Gyang Buba, at his palace.
The Gbong Gwom is the Chairman, Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs.
In a tweet announcing his arrival at the Royal palace, Obi wrote: “It was a great honour to visit the Palace of the Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman, Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, HRM Da Jacob Gyang Buba. Grateful for the wise counsel and prayers.”
The team thereafter proceeded to venue of the scheduled town hall meeting where they met with youths.
