Oduyoye said in accordance with the extant laws of the Lagos State Civil Service, his appointment was  terminated with immediate effect.

The officer was seen in a viral social media post requesting bribe from a vehicle owner.

Oduyoye noted that every organisation had its bad eggs, adding that it was unfair for members of the public to categorise all LASTMA officials as corrupt.

He urged members of the public to share their experiences and provide evidence whenever they encountered erring officials.

Oduyoye also implored road users in the state to always comply with traffic laws as violation would attract consequences.

“This is necessary in order to promote the ‘Greater Lagos’ vision for the benefit of all and for the realisation of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S. Development Agenda, particularly in respect of the Traffic Management and Transportation pillar,” he said.

According to the GM, 11 officials of the agency have so far faced various disciplinary actions from 2020 till date.

He stated that some of the officers had their appointments terminated, some demoted and others reprimanded for various infractions.
