Eagles EPL Roundup: Iwobi Influential, Eze Scores, Aribo Subbed Off

Fulham snatched a late goal through Joao Palinha two minutes to full time as they defeated Southampton 2-1 at the Craven Cottage.

Fulham took the lead in in the 32nd minute following an own goal from the Saints’ captain James Ward-Prose.

Willian found Pereira on the edge of the box and the midfielder drove the ball into the ground before a big deflection off Ward-Prowse agonizingly looped the ball into the back of the net.

Sam Edozie was on his wheels to score the second Southampton goal early in the second half but his strike was blocked by Tete.

The Super Eagles-eligible forward had to be attended to by the medics.

In the 67th minute, Aribo was replaced by Stuart Armstrong to add energy to the team.

Prowse atoned for his first half error by equalizing with a brilliant free kick in the 56th minute but Palinha, found the back of the net in the 88th minute.

Goals from Jordan Ayew and Eberechi Eze were enough away at the Vitality stadium to secure the win for Crystal Palace over Bournemouth with Michael Olise assisting both goals.

Eberechi Eze who is still on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation for the Super Eagles grabbed the second goal nine minutes from the break when he received the ball from Olise, skipped two markers and let fly a shot that saw the ball sail inside the net.
