Fakoyejo OlalekanThe Nsukka and District Society arm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is partnering with Prime Business Africa (PBA) to enlighten stakeholders, and all Nigerians on the impact of the new naira notes.
PBA reports that ICAN Nsukka and District Society will hold a webinar on December 1, 2022, on the theme: “Naira Redesign Policy: Implications for the Nigerian Economy.”

Ogbuabor, FCA respectively, indicates that the event will be held via Zoom and anchored by Deputy Director, Currency Operations Department (COD) and Head, Currency Policy Development, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Amina Halidu-Giwa.

Dr Jonathan told our correspondent that participants would be opportune to understand the details, the core benefits of the naira reissue project, but more importantly the major challenges for its implementation. ”This is a zoom webinar everyone in business and civil service sector must attend; Our youths must also keep a date,” Dr Jonathan told Prime Business Africa in a chat.
According to the Secretary General, ”Participants will also be opportune to grasp the challenges that may militate against the attainment of the objectives of this policy and articulate the way forward.”
On why the Business and social-economy-inclined newspaper is partnering ICAN on the virtual conference for public enlightenment for the new naira notes, Dr Marcel Mbamalu, Publisher of Prime Business Africa, said the newspaper as a corporate citizen is invested in socio-economic development of Nigeria and the rest of the continent and would continue to seek out opportunities to partner with credible professional bodies on projects meant for the public good.
Referring to his engagement discussions with the Nsukka and District Society arm of ICAN, Dr Mbamalu said the partnership’s objective ”is to educate chartered accountants and the general public on implications of the Naira Redesign Policy.”
The PBA publisher, who was former Editor at The Guardian Nigeria, said the webinar would highlight the critical roles of chartered accountants and other professionals in ensuring that the objectives of the naira reissue policy are achieved.”
