Nigeria’s popular and super talented artiste, BNXN aka Buju won the Headies award for the Next Rated Artiste category which held in the early hours of today at the Cobbs Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States. He was nominated alongside AyraStarr, Ruger, LoJay and Zinoleesky.


In the consistent pattern of the award show, the winner of this category gets to walk away with a brand new car that happened to be a 2022 Bentley this year from the organisers of the show. This car costs about $235,000 (that is over 117 million Naira, enough to build two luxurious homes in eastern Nigeria.

BNXN, in his speech thanked God for his success so far and dedicated the award to his late mum and his family and management. As he walked away, he added that he dedicated the award also to his girlfriend and showed his love to his fans and also dedicated the award to every artiste that was nominated in that category with him.

This years edition was the 15th edition of the show themed video ‘Join the Movement’, and it is the first time the show was held outside Nigeria. The show was hosted by Osas Ighodaro, an outstanding Nigerian actress and host alongside American actor and comedian, Anthony Anderson.
