#Osun Decides 2022: Davido Commends Voters For Rejecting Vote-buying

Popular Nigerian music artiste, Davido has applauded voters in different parts of the state for rejecting the offer of selling their votes to some political parties in the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.

The music Icon whose uncle, Ademola Adeleke is contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wrote on his Twitter handle alleging that agents of some political parties have been series of attempts engage in vote-buying in some parts of the state but the voters resisted their offer of inducement, insisting on voting for candidates of their choice.

“People rejecting money being offered to them left and right of the state today. Great to see there is still hope for Nigeria,” Davido tweeted.

Some observers have however, reported incidents of vote-buying by some political parties in some parts of the state.

The governorship election is taking place in 30 local government areas in the state, comprising 332 wards and 3,763 polling units.
