Anambra state Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo has expressed heartfelt pain over the demise of the wife of former Anambra state Governor, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Mrs. Christiana Njideka Ezeife.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelThe death of Okwadike’s wife was announced to Ndi Anambra and Nigerians in general by incumbent Governor Soludo on his official Facebook page on Sunday as he visited the Igbo Ukwu hometown of the Ezeifes.
Ezeife was Anambra’s first democratically elected Governor after the new Anambra was created out of Enugu state in 1992. Enugu was the capital of the old Anambra state.
“The death of Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Christiana Njideka Ezeife, wife of the first Civilian Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike Igbo Ukwu) is a deep cut on fond memories,” Soludo said on his condolesce statement.
“I visited His Excellency today to condole with him and his family. His thankful disposition reminded me of the scriptural admonition that we must give thanks to God in all situations, and at all times.
“May God continue to grant the Ezeifes the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, even as we pray for the continued repose of the soul of Mama.”
