Nigeria international Victor Osimhen added spice to his two goals celebration against Verona in Italian Serie A on Sunday evening which enhanced their title chances as he picked the camera and captured the away fans in a moment of ecstasy.
Osimhen scored on the 14th and 71st minutes of the game after Matteo Politano and Giovanni Di Lorenzo assisted his goals respectively in the 2-1 win.
The former Weder Bremen and Lille striker explained the reason he grabbed a camera to take a photo during the game.
Osimhen ran towards the away fans to celebrate his second goal, and fellow teammate and Senegal star, Koulibaly handed him a camera from the team’s photographer to take a picture.
“I photograph? The fans deserved a snapshot,” said Osimhen as quoted by corrieredellosport.
“Koulibaly gave me the camera and I took a photo of the fans because they were exceptional again today and it was not taken for granted after the last defeat.”
Victor Osimhen’s celebration was a repeat of what Kalidou Koulibaly did during Napoli’s win against Juventus last September.
The Ivorian grabbed the camera and did the same thing.
“I saw the fans up there and wanted to keep the moment in a photograph, it was too beautiful!” he told DAZN.
“This victory is for them because we missed them for over a year and to see them back in the stands makes us so happy.
“We knew that both teams were missing important players, and it’s a pity we conceded that goal, but we had the right maturity to react and change things.”
Victor Osimhen has now scored a total of nine league goals for Napoli in Serie A this season.
