The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  in Borno State APC, Hon Ali Dalori, was on Friday appointed to oversee the affairs of all state chairmen of the ruling party in the country.

Acting National Chairman of the APC,  Governor Abubakar Sani Bello , gave Dalori a certificate  to that effect in Abuja on Friday.

The APC, in the last one week,  has witnessed a lot of events following the  removal of Mai Mala Buni as Chairman of the CECPC  chairman and his replacement with Governor  Bello of Niger State. The plans plans an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday March 17, during which matters relating to its now controversial March 26, 2022  National Convention would be discussed.

Although the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , upon receiving a notification to that effect faulted the notice  for NEC meeting  without the signatures of  Buni (former chairman) and the subsequently removed former Secretary John James Akpanuodedehe, the APC said it’s going ahead with Thursday’s NEC meeting as the law does not require political parties to notify  INEC of such meetings.
