Victor EzejaNigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, returned to Abuja on Monday night after his two-week trip to Europe.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu was welcomed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume; and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

It would be recalled that President Tinubu had on 2 April travelled to Paris, France, on a “short working visit.” Onanuga had said Tinubu would use the period of his stay in Paris to assess his administration’s midterm performance and key milestones.
Following criticisms of Tinubu’s absence from the country, especially as crisis deepened in some parts of the country, leading to the killing of over 100 people in Benue and Plateau, Onanuga issued a statement on Thursday, indicating that the president would return after the Easter Holiday to resume duties.
In the statement, Onanuga said the President had left Paris for London, insisting that his absence was temporary and did not exceed the two-week timeframe communicated earlier.
