Former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has given his son, Seni, a pat on the back for emerging victorious at the 67th Academy Grammy Awards.
Saraki who was the 13th President of the Nigerian Senate, took to his X account to express delight at his son’s achievement, describing the joy of the occasion as indescribable.

“Seeing you pour your heart into your passion and having it recognized on the global stage is an indescribable joy. Well done! We are super proud of you!”
Seni earned his first Grammy for his contribution to the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which won Best Reggae Album.
Reacting to his award, Seni expressed deep gratitude to the artists, producers, and engineers who contributed to the project.
He acknowledged Nigerian musicians, Wizkid and Bloody Civilian, alongside other global artists, for their efforts in reinterpreting Bob Marley’s legacy.
“I appreciate all the amazing artistes, producers, and engineers who were brave enough to take on this project because it is about Bob Marley’s legacy.
“I appreciate them for taking on the songs, reinterpreting them, and doing it their own way. Artists like Bloody Civilian, WizKid, Daniel Caesar, and Jessie Reyez,” he said.
The feat at the 67th Grammy Awards, marked Seni’s first major industry recognition. Recall that in 2023, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, a project he worked on as a music consultant, earned four Grammy nominations.

Seni’s mother, Toyin Saraki, while also congratulating his son, revealed via her Instagram that Seni, partnered with Island Records and Paramount Pictures, on the award-winning film’s soundtrack.
The 17-track soundtrack, featuring a fresh interpretation of Marley’s legendary songs, edged out strong contenders, including Collie Buddz’s Take It Easy, Vybz Kartel’s Party With Me, Shenseea’s Never Gets Late Here, and The Wailers’ Evolution.
Bob Marley’s One Love is a 2024 American biographical drama musical film based on the life of reggae singer and songwriter, Bob Marley, played by Kingsley Ben-Adir, from his rise to fame in the mid-1970s up until his death in 1981.
The film is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who co-wrote the screenplay with Terence Winter, Frank E. Flowers, and Zach Baylin.
It also stars Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley, and James Norton as Chris Blackwell. The Song One Love itself was released by the legendary Bob Marley in 1965 and has remained an evergreen song connecting with several generations 60 years after.
