Billboard Verdict: Drake Is 21st Century King Of Rap

Canadian rapper, Drake, has been named “biggest rapper of the 21st century” in a recent ranking of Rap music artists dished out courtesy Billboard.

The Canadian hip-hop star topped the list, which featured other notable rappers such as Eminem, Kanye West, and Jay-Z.

Drake’s impressive discography and chart-topping hits like “Hotline Bling” and “God’s Plan” solidified his position at the top of the list.

His ability to blend vulnerability with mainstream appeal has resonated with fans worldwide and has been identified as one of his unique selling points (USP). Drake whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham recently set record for 100 billion streams on Spotify

The top 10 list of super rappers also includes; Nicki Minaj as the only female rapper, while Kendrick Lamar ranked eighth. Others that make up the list include Eminem at number two,Kanye West 3rd and Nelly 4th. In the fifth position is Jay-Z followed by 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj and Ludacris in that order.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift led the top 100 artists of the 21st century equally released by Billbord.

The rankings, which took into account chart performances, streaming records, and cultural impact since 2000, provide a comprehensive snapshot of the music industry’s most influential and successful acts.
