Russ Vought’s Background and Experience

Before his tenure in the Trump administration, Vought spent over two decades in Washington, D.C., working in grassroots and public policy organizations. His roles included Vice President at Heritage Action for America and Policy Director for the House Republican Conference under then-Chairman Mike Pence. Vought also served as Executive Director of the Republican Study Committee.

His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School.

Russ Vought’s Vision for Federal Agencies

Vought’s tenure as OMB Director was marked by his push for significant reforms in the federal workforce. He championed the creation of “Schedule F,” a new category of federal employees that aimed to increase the President’s control over civil service workers.
