Dangote Refinery PMS Price Drop Will Ease Suffering Of Nigerians – PETROAN

The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has applauded the management of Dangote Refinery for reducing the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known petrol to N899.50K per litre.

PETROAN spokesperson Joseph Obele said in a statement on Thursday that the action is a huge relief for motorists and Nigerians in general.

Prime Business Africa had reported that Dangote Refinery in what it termed “Holiday Bonanza,” said the price reduction is to help ease the transport cost across the country during the Yuletide season.

“This price reduction, a decrease of N71 per litre from the initial price of N970, is a significant relief for motorists and Nigerians at large, especially during the holiday season,” PETROAN stated.

The statement quoted the PETROAN President, Billy Gillis-Harry, saying that the price reduction by Dangote Refinery would reduce the suffering of Nigerians and alleviate the cost of living during the festive period.

Apart from reducing the petrol price, Dangote Refinery, according to the statement released Thursday morning by Group spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, also announced that consumers can purchase an additional litre of fuel on credit for every litre bought on a cash basis.

“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.

“Furthermore, for every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” Chiejina stated.
