The announcement was revealed as Spotify Africa unveiled its annual “Spotify Wrapped” report thus confirming Asake’s dominance in the Nigerian music scene and the level to which his genry of music appeals to millions fans in Nigeria, in the continent and beyond.

Following Asake on the Spotify Wrapped list are other top Nigerian music stars including Seyi Vibez, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Rema, who round out the top five. Other notable mentions include BNXN, ODUMODUBLVCK, Shallipopi, Davido, and Young Jonn, showcasing the incredible diversity and depth of talent that defines the Nigerian music scene.
