The Wednesday fire, which caused extensive damage to property and valuables, left the actress heartbroken even as she underscored in her reaction that life is more important than any loses recorded and thanked her fans for their support in her moment of despair

The inferno is coming less than nine days to the premiere of her movie in cinema titled ‘Thinline’, a work put together to educate and entertain movie lovers. The Premier is billed for December 13.
Her current scenario could best be described as Potpourri considering that only recently she added to her legion of awards after receiving recognition at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production Award (OAFP)
Attending the event with her husband, Kazim Adeoti, she expressed her appreciation for the recognition and reflected on her journey in the film industry.
In a heartfelt post, Mercy thanked God for the talents and opportunities that have allowed her to excel in her craft. “It’s raining awards for me this season,” she wrote, adding that she feels incredibly blessed to be able to do what she loves.

Ambassador of many products, Mercy Aigbe it will be recalled flagged off her acting career by starring in some soap operas, including the popular TV drama series “Papa Ajasco.”
Professionally, Mercy joined the Nollywood industry fully in 2006 and acted in the movie that brought her into the limelight ‘Ara,’ a movie produced by Remi Olupo in Ibadan, Oyo State. She founded “Mercy Aigbe Gentry School of Drama” in 2016 and has since not looked back. The 46-year-old actress has featured in several movies over the years including Gucci Girls as Cynthia,Lagos Real Fake Like as Jasmine,Crazy Grannies as Ewa and Afefeyeye as Kofoworola among others.
Mercy Aigbe is not the only one counting her losses, no thanks to a fire at this time. Only few days back, the National Emergency Management Agency revealed that no fewer than 110 shops and 120 attachments were destroyed in the fire that rocked a spare parts market in the Idumota area of Lagos State on Saturday.
The Agency dished out the information while giving an update on the incident that has left a lot of traders devastated coming not only at the end of the year but also at festive period when they will be under heavy financial pressure.
