Gov Okpebholo Nominates UBA Regional Manager As Commissioner

Newly sworn-in Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has nominated Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor, Regional Manager of the United Bank of Africa (UBA), as Commissioner for Finance-designate. 

This was one of the six fresh appointments made by the governor since his inauguration took place on 13th November.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor.

Friday Ibadin, a retired Commissioner of Police, was also named to serve as the Corps Commander of the Edo State Security Corps Governance. 

Additionally, Okpebholo appointed Dr. Lucky Eseigbe as the Managing Director of the Edo State Public Building and Maintenance Agency and Stainless, M.I. Ijeghede as the Managing Director of the Edo State Traffic Management Agency ( EDSTMA).

Other appointments include Dr Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, as  Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board and Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi, as Managing Director of the State Waste Management Board.

The appointment takes effect from 15th November 2024, according to the statement.

Prior to his nomination, Okoebor, who has over 25 years of banking experience, including positions at UBA and the Standard Trust, served as UBA’s regional manager, supervising 15 business offices.

Okoebor is a registered member of COREN and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He received his first degree in Civil Engineering and his master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin.
