VeryDarkMan, who floated an NGO to help alleviate the suffering of communities by focusing on community development and public schools, was surprise to receive the huge sum in his Zenith Bank account and practically raised the alarm but calmed down after popular producer confirmed he donated the money to support the new Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

In his usual style VDM in a video asked Zenith Bank to investigate his account, saying“@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what is going on, hope I’m not being set up… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness, I don’t know what’s up with the account,” he posted.

He then followed that with a fresh video after knowing the identity of the donor, confirming that Don Jazzy had reached out to inform him that he made the donation to support the cause.

He said, “Guys, yesterday I posted that I received ₦100m in my account. I did not receive an alert. I just saw that the money had increased from ₦70m to ₦170m plus.

“I panicked because I didn’t expect anybody to just send me ₦100m like that, so I thought it was a glitch or maybe someone wanted to set me up, because people had been sending ₦50, ₦100, ₦200, ₦500 and so on, and it’s understandable for me to panic.”

After contacting everyone he knew to find out who might have sent the money, he eventually received a message from Don Jazzy.

The message read, “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. It’s not easy.”

Following the revelation, Don Jazzy began trending on the X platform, with many netizens commending his generosity and offering prayers for the music producer.

VeryDarkMan also reiterated his commitment to transparency, promising to continue posting updates about the funds raised.

He disclosed that the NGO had already received ₦179 million just five days after its launch.
