Former Senator representing Adamawa South Senatorial district, Jonathan Zwingina, has passed away.
Zwingina was the Director-General of the Moshood Abiola (MKO) campaign Organisation in the June 12, 1993, presidential election.

He was the arrowhead in the presidential campaign for the late Abiola of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 1993 election that was annulled by former military president, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Retd).
The Septuagenarian represented Adamawa South Senatorial district from 1999 to 2007.
The Adamawa-born politician, who was one of the founding members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), served in various committees at the National Assembly including Economic Affairs, Special Projects, Works & Housing, Internal Affairs, Establishment, Information, and Privatisation.
