Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo, has expressed confidence in winning the 2024 Governorship election in Edo State.
Ighodalo stated this shortly after casting his votes at Idionrio Primary School, Ward 1 Unit 3 in Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area of the State.

The PDP flag bearer commended the turnout of voters at the polling unit and urged INEC to improve performance in organising elections m, especially the off-cycle ones
“I am impressed with the turnout of voters but INEC really needs to step up their game,” Ighodalo stated.
“I believe strongly that the preparation for an off-cycle should be better to forestall some of the delays we witnessed today,” he added.
The governorship election is holding in the state today, 21 September. Over 2 million voters who collected their permanent voter cards are expected to cast ballots to elect the state’s number for the next four years.
