The FIBA Central Board late Thursday night confirmed Belgrade (Serbia), Osaka (Japan) and Washington, D.C. (USA) as host cities for the four FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournaments during their executive meeting.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelThe city of Belgrade, the meeting revealed will host two qualifying tournaments, while Osaka and Washington, D.C. will each stage one event. The qualifying tournaments will take place from February 10 to 13.
The teams comprised of two representatives from Africa – Mali and Nigeria; four sides from the Americas – Brazil, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States; four teams from Asia/Oceania – Australia, China, Japan, Korea; and six European sides – Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Russia and Serbia.
