Victor EzejaPresident Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new Chief Executives for some parastatals and agencies.
This was announced in a statement released Saturday evening by Tinubu’s Special adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelAccording to the statement, Ms Omolola Bridget Oloworaran was appointed as the new Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom).
Oloworaran is a finance and banking expert with many years of experience.
Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate.
As the primary regulator of the Nigerian pension industry, the President expressed his expectation that the National Pension Commission will be led with a goal-oriented approach to promote efficiency and exceptional performance.
Also, the president approved the appointment of Dr. Mainasara Umar Kogo as Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). Kogo is a seasoned lawyer and analyst in the fields of law, security, economy, politics, and international diplomacy.
The statement said that in carrying out the duties of the Office of the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), he is expected to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to the country.

The president also approved the appointment of Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo as Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).
Adebayo is an engineer and also a community and social development expert.
The statement said the President expects that the new NALDA CEO will use his skills and background to help and propel the expansion and sustainability of Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
Tinubu also approved the appointment of Mr Oluwaseun Faleye as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF). Faleye is a legal and corporate finance specialist. According to the statement, the president also named Mrs Mojisolaoluwa Kehinde Alli-Macaulay as Executive Director (Operations) of the NSITF.
Alli-Macaulay is a former lawmaker and former Chairperson of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs, Poverty Alleviation, and Job Creation.

The President expects a comprehensive re-positioning of the NSITF for enhanced social protection and qualitative service delivery to the Nigerian public, the statement added.
Tinubu also named Mr Umar Ibrahim Mohammed as Director-General of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA).
Mr. Mohammed is an architect and a construction technology and environment professional.
The President has also approved the appointment of Mr. Tosin Adeyanju as new Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF). Adeyanju is an accomplished administrator and good governance advocate.
The president stated that in order to actualise the goal of the NLTF as a catalyst for good causes in Nigeria, the new CEO is expected to guarantee openness and effectiveness in the agency’s activities.
Mr Baffa Dan Agundi was appointed as Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC).
Agundi is a former majority leader of the Kano State House of Assembly. He was also the Principal Registrar of the Kano State High Court.
According to the statement, Tinubu said the Director-General is expected to lead the Center in pursuing its mission of creating a national culture of excellence in operational efficiency and institutionalising a performance-driven orientation toward measurable productivity in the citizenry for the overall improvement of service delivery and quality of life throughout the country.
The Director-General would need to be devoted to this task with true patriotic zeal, the statement added.
Also in the list of new appointments is Mr Silas Agara as Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
Agara, a former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, was the director of the Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima.
Also, Mr Saleh Abubakar was named as Director-General of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW).
With decades of expertise in a variety of areas, Abubakar is a highly skilled public administrator. Additionally, the President expressed his expectations for the agency’s commitment to advancing its mission of enabling communities to fight land degradation, improve food security, and fortify themselves against climate change through sustainable interventions and education.
According to the statement by the President’s spokesperson, Mr Jobson Ewalefoh, was nominated as Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).
The appointment is subject to the confirmation of the Nigerian Senate. It also said Ewalefoh is expected to exhibit absolute dedication and probity in the management of the ICRC and in pursuit of its strategic objective of accelerating investment in national infrastructure through the innovative mobilisation of private-sector funding.
