Negotiations between both sides had continued behind the scenes as the Reds saw an offer of £7.7million turned down after opening rounds of talks.

Various news sources in the UK are now reporting that a deal has been agreed. It is claimed that the agreement is an initial £7.7m with £1.7m in add-ons.

Klopp shocked the Reds faithful when he announced that he will be stepping down from his job as Liverpool manager – a decision he added – was taken in December 2023.

Klopp won the UEFA champions League and tje Premier League with Liverpool.

Klopp himself has hailed the style of play of Feyenoord and endorsed Slot as a good candidate to replace him as new manager.
