AFCON 2023: Moffi Arrives Super Eagles Camp Ahead Cote d’Ivoire Clash

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi on Monday evening arrived the Super Eagles camp in Abidjan ahead of Thursday’s second Group A game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Moffi was named in the provisional squad of 41 players but did not make the final roster for the tournament until injury struck the team’s attacking department.

Bayer Leverkusen star Victor Boniface who was in the original team of 25 picked by Jose Peseiro copped an injury in one of the team’s training sessions in Abu Dhabi necessitating a quick replacement.

The OGC Nice forward got the nod of his French Ligue 1 side to travel to Abidjan after featuring in his club’s 2-0 defeat to Rennes on Saturday and that means that the full compliment of the team are in the Ivorian capital.

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho had arrived the team’s camp on Sumday same as Paul Onuachu who was a late substitute for Alex Iwobi in the 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea.
