The Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) witnessed a historic moment as Mr. Kelechi Ndieze assumed office as the President for the year 2024, unveiliing his agenda to consolidate the drive for Africa transformation.

The event which was held virtually, witnessed the investiture of the new Excos/Board of Directors of the organisation with the theme; “Leading the Emerging African Generation”.

Ndieze as President, would steer the ship of the organisation for the next two years.

His election and subsequent inauguration followed the expiration of the tenure of office of Collins Ibeawuchi, who meritoriously served the organisation in the same capacity for a period of four years.

Ndieze in his acceptance speech expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him, outlining a vision for the network’s future.

Addressing the assembly, Ndieze highlighted the pivotal role of YANGG in the transformative movement of Africa, emphasising that the network is not merely a spectator but a key player in shaping Africa’s destiny. He stressed the collective responsibility to work towards a just, equitable and prosperous future for all young Africans.

He said: “Africa is on the rise, and the Young Africans Network for Global Goals is at the forefront of this transformative movement. We are not merely witnesses to history; we are the architects of a future that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all. Our continent, endowed with rich diversity and untapped potential, is poised to shape the course of the world.”

“In this pivotal role, we are not just representatives of our nations, but ambassadors of hope and catalysts for progress. Our commitment to the Global Goals is a pledge to eradicate poverty, promote education, foster gender equality, and champion sustainability. It is a commitment to building a future where no one is left behind, and every young African has the opportunity to thrive.”

Young Africans Network for Global Goals (YANGG) witnessed a historic moment as Mr. Kelechi Ndieze assumed office as the President for the year 2024, univeiliing his agenda to consolidate the drive for Africa transformation.

Ndieze outlined five Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will guide the network’s actions, including Brand Awareness and Visibility, Quality Membership Recruitment, Growth and Retention, Financial Sustainability and Strategic Partnership through the Working Group Initiative.

The newly elected President called for unity, urging members to leverage the diversity of Africa’s cultures, traditions and experiences to create a tapestry of progress. He challenged everyone to dream boldly, think innovatively and act decisively, emphasising that the network is a powerhouse of potential with actions that will resonate through generations.

In the face of challenges, Ndieze encouraged resilience, stating that adversity is the birthplace of strength. He pledged to stand with the network as a partner, collaborator, and advocate, amplifying the voices of young Africans on the global stage.

The outgoing president, Ibeawuchi in his farewell speech reflected on the journey of the past four years, expressing gratitude for the collective efforts that shaped the organisation’s history.

“It is with a profound sense of gratitude and humility that I reflect upon the incredible journey we have undertaken together. Having the opportunity to lead as a young person has given me the understanding of our collective responsibility to shape the world of our dream. My leadership was not void of mistakes and challenges but I relentlessly persisted in exercising my abilities in the best way I could.”

“History is punctuated by moments where youth-led movements have sparked trans-formative change. From advocating civil rights to addressing environmental challenges, we the youths have proven time and again that we are catalysts for progress,” he said.

The outgoing President extended sincere appreciation to all members of YANGG, acknowledging their unwavering support as the driving force behind the organisation’s accomplishments.

He expressed optimism for the future and offered support and cooperation for the new administration led by Kelechi Ndieze, emphasising the resilience of Africans in the face of challenges.

YANGG is a conglomerate of young and vibrant African youths who are passionate towards contributing their quota to the development of their society with regards to the sustainable development goals, business development/ entrepreneurship and leadership development.

It is a network of compelling and passionate young Africans and rising future pioneers attempting to make a change and create better systems in Africa through realising the global goals and networks that aim at reinforcing connections between young advocates of change through energised coordinated efforts.

YANGG has membership across Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya, Togo, Morocco, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Burundi, Namibia, Lesotho, Benin Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, The Gambia, Zambia and Botswana.
