In a call for bolstering local technology enterprises, Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, championed support for indigenous tech service providers during his visit to the pioneering SecureID Limited plant in Lagos.

“Today, I am deeply impressed by the cutting-edge technology and dedication to excellence displayed by SecureID Limited,” remarked Minister Tijani during his tour of the facility.

Emphasizing the critical role of local companies in Nigeria’s digital future, Tijani pledged collaborative efforts to ensure SecureID Limited’s continued growth and contributions to the nation’s technological advancement.

The minister’s visit aimed to acquaint him with the exceptional capabilities of SecureID Limited, a certified smartcard manufacturer operating across 21 African countries.

Expressing optimism about future collaborations, Kojo Akinkugbe, the Managing Director of SecureID Limited, hailed the minister’s visit as a recognition of their commitment to excellence.

“We are honoured by Minister Tijani’s visit, signifying recognition of our commitment to securing Nigeria’s digital landscape and advancing technology,” Akinkugbe stated.
